The Les Paul Junior has remained a cornerstone of the Gibson lineup since 1954, proving that sometimes all you need is one P90 and a slab of mahogany. This 2009 example, finished in Satin Vintage Sunburst, offers a stripped-back, utilitarian aesthetic paired with the raw, aggressive tone that has made the Junior a favourite of everyone from Leslie West to Billie Joe Armstrong.
Constructed from a solid Mahogany body and neck, this Junior features a resonant thin-skin satin nitrocellulose finish. This finish not only allows the wood to "breathe" and vibrate more freely than a heavy gloss coat but also provides a fast, played-in feel on the back of the neck.
At the heart of this guitar is a single high-output P-90 pickup. Known for its growling midrange and touch-sensitive dynamics, it cleans up beautifully with the volume knob and bites through the mix when wide open. The wrap-around bridge/tailpiece ensures maximum string-to-body vibration transfer, contributing to the model's legendary sustain and tuning stability.
This 2009 model is in very good condition, showing very little signs of player wear.
