Ron - Owner
Ronnie Smith has been buying and selling guitars for over thirty years
His knowledge of Gibson and Martin Flat tops, and all variations of National and Dobro Resonators is considerable and extensive. He has recently found time to release two albums with his band "National Debt", to critical acclaim.
"My staff are always available to provide the highest level of customer service to ensure our valued clients are happy with their purchases."
Chris - Manager
Chris' original focus was on a career within International Relations. However after completing his Masters, he decided to follow his passion for music and musical instruments. Chris has an extensive knowledge of acoustic and electric instruments and a great attention to detail in his customer service. In his spare time, Chris is a Folk singer who harbours a love for early Martin 00's, Harmony Rocket H54's from 59' and Japanese acoustics from the 70's.
Gerald - Luthier
Gerald has been taking guitars apart and putting them together again since he was fourteen, eventually building his own instruments from the age of sixteen.
Gerald started his stay on Denmark Street in 2007, originally fixing and building guitars for other shops, from there he established "The Workshop" here at No.Tom Guitars.
When he's not restoring, re-fretting or setting up, Gerald plays guitar for Agent, with his favourite guitars, an 86' Japanese Squire Strat fitted with Bare Knuckles and his PRS 513. Gerald also is a big fan of the mighty Tele and original Squire Supersonics.
Josh - Vintage & Classic Expert
Growing up surrounded by guitars, it's no wonder that Josh has chosen to work in Denmark street's premier vintage guitar shop, from the age of 12 Josh started as a saturday boy in a central London music store where he honed his tea making skills. Having spent almost ten years behind various music shop counters, Josh has an extensive knowledge of vintage instruments and amplifiers. Josh's skills go further than the shop floor as he is responsible for photographing and uploading instruments for the website, updating social media, and providing graphic content for newsletters. With a love of early CBS era Teles, tape delays and J-45s.
Angus - Luthier
Angus repaired his first guitar, an old Japanese Hokada dreadnought when he was 15 years old. After many years of modifying and fixing numerous guitars and basses, and gaining a diverse musical experience, ranging from punk bands to sound systems and running alternative festivals, Angus relocated to London to study Lutherie. Angus not only repairs and maintains the shops and customers instruments here at No.Tom Guitars, he builds guitars to his own and unique designs. Angus still plays the Hokada, his tricked out "Lawsuit" Ibanez bass and his "bitsa" destroyer.
