Introduced in the early 60's and designed to compete with guitars like the Martin D-18 & D-28 at the time. Constructed from a Sitka Spruce top with Indian Rosewood back and sides, the D-50 paired this more polished, balanced sound with the typical workhorse nature of Guild acoustics, offering excellent build quality that holds it own against Gibson and Martin acoustics of the time.

This 1976 Guild D-50 was manufactured in the Westerly, Rhode Island factory and is in very good condition. An excellent example of the value that can be found in vintage Guild guitars.

This D-50 has a beautiful top end response with a great deal of projection, along with a tight bass that works excellently for both strumming and finger style playing alike. The neck has a comfortable profile and is neither too slim nor too chunky.

The instrument has had neck reset by our own luthier but otherwise remains in great original condition. Includes non original hard shell case.

This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
