ThorpyFX WOPR Fuzz & Boost

The ThorpyFX WOPR is a ferocious fuzz and boost unit born from a custom build for guitarist Oli Brown, designed to push boundaries and leave a trail of sonic devastation. Originally combining the Fallout Cloud and the silicon Rangemaster-inspired circuit from the Veteran, the WOPR takes that formula and turns it up even further—replacing the Fallout Cloud with an all-new fuzz circuit that’s nastier, louder, and more aggressive in every direction.

The result is a dual-circuit monster. The fuzz side delivers saturated tones dripping with bite and sizzle, while the boost—based on the Rangemaster—adds presence, grit and explosive power. Together, they unleash a wall of sound that's unapologetically heavy and deeply musical. Inspired by the AI supercomputer from the film Wargames, the WOPR invites you to choose between subtle destruction or full-on tonal warfare.

Built to ThorpyFX’s exacting standards, the WOPR features premium 1% metalfilm resistors, Wima and Panasonic capacitors, Neutrik jacks, a gold-plated PCB, and sealed pots—all housed in a rugged, road-ready enclosure.
