Rainger FX Binary Pulsar, a stereo sidechainer, panner, and tremolo pedal that takes modular and pedalboard setups into uncharted rhythmic territory. Based on the cult-classic mono Deep Space Pulsar, this fully stereo upgrade is designed to bring studio-grade sidechaining, slicing, and spatial modulation directly to your feet or your desktop.
The Binary Pulsar isn't your standard tremolo. Rather than simply raising and lowering your volume, it uses a resonant filter to carve out rhythmic "dips" or "pulses" in your sound. From classic tremolo throb to heavy, pump-and-release EDM-style sidechain ducking, the Binary Pulsar acts as a musical engine of movement.
With a dedicated tap-tempo pressure pad, and an incredible array of synchronization methods—including an XLR/¼” microphone input to sidechain your guitar or synth directly to a physical kick drum.
-
True Stereo Signal Path: Run mono-to-stereo, true stereo, or dual mono setups. The dedicated Wide control offsets the right channel, transforming a standard volume dip into wide, swirling panning effects or swinging syncopated delays.
-
Resonant Filter Control: The Res (Resonance) knob injects synthy squelch and space-grade filter sweeps directly into your tremolo path.
-
Interactive Waveform Manipulation: Use the INV (Invert) button to flip dips into positive volume pulses, or the ½ INVbutton to invert only one stereo side for massive, head-spinning stereo division.
-
Momentary Flangey Distortion: Press and hold the giant integrated pressure pad to engage a wild, crunching digital distortion and flanger combination on the fly.
-
Universal Synchronization: Sync via internal tap-tempo (complete with easy drift correction), CV/gate signals from modular gear, or a direct kick-drum microphone trigger.
- Analog "Warm" Circuit: Features a rear-panel switch that activates a gentle analog overdrive, rolling off clinical digital high-end while boosting mid-range punch.
