The pedal authentically recreates 6V6 power amp overdrive, valve rectifier sag, phase inverter distortion, and the gritty, fat tone of the Tweed Deluxe’s unconventional preamp—complete with different valve types. 

The Deluxe55 is the result of extensive analysis of an original Tweed Deluxe amp, with its all-analogue Amp Recreation circuitry meticulously designed to replicate the amp’s behaviour. It captures the 6V6 power amp overdrive, phase inverter distortion, and the Tweed’s unconventional preamp, including its gain-boosting Tone control. A reactive load simulates the interaction between the amp’s power section and speaker, delivering authentic valve amp "feel."

The Preamp switch mimics swapping a 12AY7 valve for a 12AX7, shifting from bright crunch to warm, high-gain tones, culminating in a wall of fuzz when cranked.
