The Fairfield Circuitry 20% More pedal is an innovative sonic tool that blends slew limiting, envelope following, sub-octave generation, and wave shaping to create rich, dynamic textures. Inspired by a mysterious oscillator schematic, this unique circuit delivers everything from distorted low-pass filtering to self-oscillating feedback and percussive, west coast-style gating.
At its core, a slew limiter smooths voltage changes, acting as a resonant, somewhat distorted low-pass filter. When pushed into self-oscillation, it produces triangle waveforms that interact with your input signal, generating pseudo-wavefolding and synthetic distortion artifacts. A low-pass gate (LPG) adds warmth and resonance, while an internal envelope follower dynamically shapes feedback and filtering based on your playing intensity.
