First introduced in 1955 as a step up from the Les Paul Junior, the Les Paul Special quickly evolved from its "student" origins into a formidable garage-rock, punk, and blues weapon. Part of Epiphone's celebrated "Inspired by Gibson" line, this 2023 model delivers an extraordinarily accurate homage to those legendary mid-fifties originals.
Finished in iconic TV Yellow, the guitar features a solid, flat-top Mahogany slab body with a single cutaway. It is powered by a duo of Epiphone’s P-90 PRO soapbar pickups and wired with CTS potentiometers for vintage-style taper and response.
As seen in the photos, this 2023 example is in immaculate, near-mint condition. The gloss finish is exceptionally clean throughout, showing no dings, no belt buckle rash, and virtually no pick wear on the black guard. The frets show as-new height with no wear, the neck is straight, and all electronics function silently and reliably.
This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 1 year warranty.
