The SG Special has always been one of Gibson's more straightforward models, stripping the classic SG design back to the essentials while retaining the feel and character of the full specification guitars. This 2004 example is finished in TV Yellow, a colour that suits the simple nature of the model particularly well.
Internally and externally original, it retains its stock Gibson 490R and 498T humbuckers, giving it plenty of output and the familiar punchy Gibson sound. It is a relatively stripped back model, but it sounds and plays great, with the simplicity of the design being a big part of its appeal.
The finish has picked up loads of really cool natural play wear over the years, with worn areas and marks giving it the appearance of a much older guitar. This guitar is in good overall condition and comes with a non original gig bag.
As with all our instruments, this Gibson SG has been given a thorough service by the Vintage Instrument Workshop and is guaranteed for 2 years in line with our vintage instrument warranty.
