The Gibson Custom Shop Lenny Kravitz ’67 Flying V is a striking and highly collectible signature model, produced in very limited numbers between 2001 and 2004. Inspired by Kravitz’s own late ’60s Flying V, this Custom Shop run was limited to just 125 guitars, combining period-correct construction with bold, stage ready styling.
This model features a one-piece mahogany V-shaped body paired with a custom-shaped mahogany neck and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays. Custom appointments include a mirrored gold truss rod cover with a vertical Gibson logo, and three-per-side vintage tulip tuners. Hardware consists of an ABR-1 bridge and a short Maestro vibrato tailpiece engraved with “LENNY”, matched with a mirrored gold pickguard and gold hardware throughout.
Two ’57 Classic humbuckers provide warm, vintage-voiced tones, controlled by a traditional layout of two volume controls, a master tone and a three-way selector. Finished in Black Sparkle, this Flying V delivers unmistakable style alongside authentic late ’60s character. This guitar is in excellent, near unplayed condition, and includes its original black case and all relevant case candy and paperwork.
As with all our instruments, this guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
