Originally released in 1962 as Fender's top-of-the-line offset, the Jaguar was designed to capture the surf rock market with its shorter scale length and sophisticated switching system. This 1999 "Crafted in Japan" (CIJ) reissue is a superb tribute to the 1960s era, offering the vintage aesthetic and quirky functionality that has made the Jaguar a cult favourite for indie and alternative players alike.

This JG66-85 model features an Alder body paired with a comfortable "C" profile Maple neck and a Rosewood fingerboard with a vintage-accurate 7.25" radius. The 24" short scale length provides the signature "slinky" feel and easy playability that the model is known for. It is equipped with the classic Jaguar dual-circuit wiring, including the lead/rhythm switches and the "strangle" high-pass filter - allowing for a massive array of tonal textures from its two shielded single-coil pickups.

The guitar remains in excellent condition with only minor signs of play wear and light surface swirling consistent with its age. The chrome hardware and "floating" tremolo system are in great shape, and the neck is straight with plenty of life left in the frets.

This Jaguar has been given a thorough inspection and professional setup by our luthiers at The Vintage Instrument Workshop, ensuring it plays as good as it looks.

As with all our instruments, this guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
