A striking example from the late 1990s, this 1997 Epiphone Riviera Limited Edition stands out as a rare and visually distinctive take on a classic semi hollow design. Built in the highly regarded Peerless factory in Korea, it reflects a period of particularly strong Epiphone production, combining vintage inspired styling with dependable build quality.
Constructed with a laminated maple top, back, and sides, the semi hollow body delivers a warm, resonant tone with plenty of clarity and depth. The set mahogany neck is paired with a rosewood fingerboard featuring parallelogram inlays, along with a crown inlay on the headstock, offering a comfortable and familiar playing experience across its 24.75" scale length.
Equipped with a pair of humbucker pickups, the guitar provides a full and versatile tonal range, controlled via two volume and two tone controls alongside a three way selector switch. Chrome hardware includes a tune o matic bridge and, on this example, the original factory fitted Epiphone Bigsby vibrato tailpiece, adding expressive vibrato capability while enhancing its vintage appeal. Reflector knobs and single ply binding to the body and neck complete the classic aesthetic.
This guitar is in excellent, all original condition with barely any signs of play wear to speak of. This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
