Produced in Japan during the 1980s and 1990s, Orville guitars were created under licence from Gibson and are widely regarded for their excellent build quality and close adherence to classic Gibson specifications. Manufactured primarily by respected Japanese factories such as Fujigen and Terada, these instruments have developed a strong reputation for craftsmanship and value among players and collectors alike.
This 1996 Orville Les Paul Standard is a particularly attractive example, featuring a beautifully figured quilted maple top paired with the classic Les Paul construction and styling. Built in Japan, it offers the solid feel, sustain, and rich tonal character associated with traditional Les Paul designs, with a high level of fit and finish throughout.
Presented in very good condition, this is a superb quality Japanese made instrument from a period now increasingly recognised for producing some of the finest Gibson style guitars outside of the USA.
The instrument remains in original condition, with some obvious signs of players wear primarily to the rear of the body.
As with all our instruments, this guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
