This 1996 Gibson SJ 200 is a 1958 Reissue, built at Gibson's Bozeman, Montana factory and based on the specifications of the original late 1950s Super Jumbo models. Finished in Natural, it has the large square shouldered SJ 200 body with a solid Sitka Spruce top and solid figured Maple back and sides. The Maple is nicely figured and gives the guitar a particularly attractive appearance, while the large body and traditional hand scalloped X bracing produce the volume and resonance you would expect from a Super Jumbo.

The 1958 inspired appointments include multi ply binding around the top and back, a two piece Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard and graduated Mother of Pearl crown inlays. The 25.5 inch scale and 1 11/16 inch bone nut give it the familiar full sized Gibson feel. It is a lightly built and extremely resonant guitar, with a lively response that suits both strumming and more delicate playing.

This guitar is completely original and free from any previous repairs. It is in very good condition with only light signs of play wear and lacquer checking, and comes complete with its original Gibson case.

This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
