Lowden guitars have long been admired for their distinctive construction, excellent build quality and rich, responsive acoustic sound. This 1993 Lowden 12 C is a left handed jumbo style model, offering a larger body with plenty of volume and projection, while retaining the clarity and balance that have made Lowden acoustics so highly regarded.
The Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides provide a versatile tonal combination, with a strong fundamental and plenty of warmth across the frequency range. The larger body makes it particularly well suited to fuller strumming, although it also responds nicely to more delicate playing. An LR Baggs M1 Active soundhole pickup has been fitted, providing a practical option for amplification without the need for permanent alterations to the guitar's appearance.
This guitar is in very good condition, with plenty of attractive natural play wear that gives it a well played character. It is free from previous repairs and comes complete with its original Hiscox hard case.
This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
