Fender Japan’s late '80s output is rightly held in high regard, with instruments from this period offering excellent build quality and thoughtful vintage reissue details. This ST-57-770LS takes the classic '57 Stratocaster design and gives it an interesting twist, combining a black finish and maple fingerboard with factory fitted Lace Sensor pickups. In some ways, it feels like a Japanese take on the contemporary Strat Plus, bringing together traditional styling and a more modern pickup choice.
The maple neck and fingerboard have some lovely figuring, and the neck profile is worth noting too. Rather than the soft V shape often found on '57 reissues, this example has a more pronounced D shaped profile, giving it a slightly different feel in the hand. The Lace Sensors offer a quieter alternative to traditional single coils while retaining plenty of Stratocaster character.
Internally and externally original, this is a very good example with only minor signs of play wear. This guitar also includes a gig bag.
As with all our vintage instruments, this guitar has been given a thorough service by the Vintage Instrument Workshop and is guaranteed for 2 years in line with our vintage instrument warranty.
