Fender Japan instruments from the 1980s have earned a strong reputation for their build quality, offering much of the look and feel of vintage Fender models at a more accessible price. This 1987 Stratocaster is a good example of the quality coming out of the FujiGen factory during this period, based around the familiar late '50s specification.
Finished in black with a maple neck and fingerboard, it has a classic, understated look. The neck features a distinctive 'D' shaped profile, giving it a slightly different feel from the more familiar 'V' shaped profiles found on 1957 based models. The guitar remains entirely original, making it a particularly appealing example of an early Fender Japan reissue.
This guitar is in very good, original condition, with minor signs of play wear to the finish on both the back and front. This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
