This 1983 Fender JV Stratocaster is a remarkable example from the second year of Fender Japan’s celebrated JV (“Japanese Vintage”) series - guitars that set a new global standard for quality and authenticity in vintage reissues.
Finished in the striking Candy Apple Red and built at the legendary Fujigen factory, this Stratocaster exemplifies the precision, tone, and craftsmanship that earned the early JV instruments their near-mythic reputation.
Dated June '83, this instrument is in good original condition with some minor areas of play wear through to the wood. The gold neck plate was a factory custom order option in Japan at the time, allowing customers to order custom neck plates with your name engraved - the second owner looks to have then buffed off the previous owners name. The wiring loom features the typical '65' spec components, with Japanese made pots and caps, and Fender USA made pickups.
This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
