The Fender Telecaster remained largely unchanged throughout the early 1970s, continuing to offer the straightforward design and unmistakable sound that had made it one of the most enduring electric guitars ever produced. Four bolt neck examples from this period have become increasingly sought after, combining traditional Telecaster construction with the unmistakable feel and tone of a vintage Fender.

This 1973 Fender Telecaster is finished in classic Blonde, with the original lacquer having mellowed over time to a warm, lightly yellowed hue that complements the ash body beautifully. The maple neck retains its comfortable mid 1970s profile, while the original single coil pickups provide the familiar balance of bright, articulate bridge tones and smooth, rounded neck sounds. Period correct appointments include the original three barrel bridge, Fender 'F' stamped tuners and the original ashtray bridge cover, completing the classic Telecaster aesthetic.

This guitar is in excellent original condition. The guitar remains internally and externally untouched, with potentiometer codes dating to the 46th week of 1973. Honest play wear is confined mainly to the edges of the body, while the remainder of the finish displays only light natural ageing and lacquer yellowing consistent with its age. This guitar includes a non original later period Fender moulded hard case.

This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
