1970 Martin D-28 'Bobby D'

The original working musicians dreadnought of choice, the Martin D-28 has been the go to acoustic for countless kinds of players for years. This 1970 D-28 is an excellent example of a Martin dreadnought from this period, with some unique characteristics of its own.

Featuring the typical Spruce top and Rosewood back and sides, this D-28 really sings, and has obviously been well played over the years leading to a very open and lively sound. Even with signs of play wear to the top, it is still in fantastic condition for its age. At some point, this guitar has had a custom pearloid inlay added to neck spelling out 'Bobby D.' We have done extensive research in to who Bobby D may or may not be, and have unfortunately found nothing conclusive. It certainly lends a certain mystique and character all of its own! This guitar also includes its original case.
