The Gibson B 25 was introduced in 1963 as the successor to the earlier LG 2 and LG 3 models, retaining much of their construction while reflecting the design direction of the mid 1960s. This 1966 example is a strong representation of the model and is finished in a rarely seen cherry red top.

Built with an X braced spruce top and mahogany back and sides, the B 25 delivers a lively, open response with a clear midrange and focused low end. The tone works equally well for flatpicking and fingerstyle playing. Appointments include the larger celluloid pickguard associated with the model and a rosewood bridge fitted with an adjustable saddle.

The fingerboard extension has previously been removed and sanded down, with visible evidence of this work around the heel area. The tuner buttons have been replaced. The guitar is otherwise in excellent condition and includes its original case.

As with all vintage instruments, this B-25 has been given a full service by the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
