Initially introduced in the 1940's as the companies student model archtop guitar, the Gibson ES-125 has had a number of variants over the years, all of which with their own sound and style, making them a hugely popular and relatively affordable vintage Gibson. This 1965 ES-125 continues that student tradition, with this model being one of the particularly rare 3/4 size examples.

This ES-125 3/4 features the same woods and design specifications as the larger models, except with a 12 3/4" wide body and 22 3/4" scale length. This guitar sounds wonderful, with the traditional warm dog ear P90 woody tone when combined with the guitars hollow body design. The body is finished in a typically mid '60s Cherry Sunburst with a single bound top, tortoise guard and trapeze tailpiece. The original rosewood bridge has been replaced with an ABR-1 style bridge, although a non original rosewood bridge is also included. This guitar is in otherwise all original condition, and is in excellent cosmetic condition, with barely any signs of play wear to speak of. Also included is a non original hard case.

This guitar is in excellent condition with barely any signs of play wear to speak of, and has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
