The Gibson Les Paul Junior has been a go-to instrument for musicians of all genres since its introduction in 1954, with a versatility of tone that is at odds with their simple, stripped back design. This 1960 Gibson Les Paul Junior Double Cut is a superb example of a solid body guitar made by Gibson during that company's golden age of electric guitar manufacturing.
This 1960 Les Paul Junior Doublecut has a slab Mahogany body with a Cherry finish, and is in great condition with the perfect amount of patina. In contrast to earlier iterations' squared-off body edges, these 1960 models featured the slightly rounded body edges found on later examples. The neck features a flatter, wider feeling profile than others we have played, but it is still exceptionally comfortable and playable.
This guitar is in very good condition, with some minor signs of play wear and age, primarily to the rear of the body, neck and front of the headstock. The tuners, pots and wiring have been replaced, but the black bobbin P90, bridge, guard and finish are original and correct for the period.
This guitar has been given a full service & appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
