Initially introduced in 1935 as a subsidiary brand by National, Supro guitars and amplifiers have gone on to be regarded as some of the coolest instruments produced during the golden years of musical instrument manufacturing in the USA. With a unique style and tone compared to that of other companies at the time, Supro instruments have featured on more rock, blues and soul records than most people would imagine.

This 1959 Supro Super is a great example of a solid body '50s Supro. With a. short scale design and 12th fret neck join, the Super is a very comfortable guitar to play, with a full feeling neck that is easy to get around. This Super features a single humbucker sized over wound single coil pickup in the bridge position that is perfect was crunchy blues playing, and also works brilliantly for slide. This guitar is all original, with the unique silver burst finish in great condition, and featuring its original hardware and electronics. This guitar also includes its original case in excellent condition.

This instrument has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
