Guild guitars from the '50s and '60s are often some of the most under appreciated guitars on the vintage market in our opinion, with the Hoboken, NJ made models making for some of the best quality, relatively affordable vintage instruments out there. This 1957 Guild M-75 is a great, player grade example of a cult classic '50s Guild model.

The M-75 was originally introduced in 1954, featuring a single cutaway body silhouette popularised by the Les Paul. However, the M-75 was unique in incorporating and arch top design, along with being fully hollow, giving it a tone that is unique among similar looking solid body instruments of the period. This guitar would have originally been custom ordered as a single pickup model for the Vinny Roberts music shop in the Bronx, NY, with the shop logo silkscreened on the headstock.

This guitar is in good condition, with the kind of play wear and patina to the finish that would expect from a guitar of its age. The original P90 pickup has been replaced with a Humbucker in the neck position. Otherwise, the finish and hardware are all original and in full working order, including the original gold 'G' logo tailpiece. This guitar retains its original Lifton made case.

This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
