This 1936 Dobro Model 32 is a fantastic, player grade example of a 'fiddle edge' resonator, produced as the company was moving operations from their original California base to the Regal factory in Chicago. Featuring a sheet metal body and round neck design, this Dobro Model 32 has a sweet, mellow sound, and is currently set up to be usable for both slide and fretted playing, though the action could be raised for lap playing. This example features the saw-cut slot headstock design found on early Dobro's.
This guitar is in good condition, and appears to have been re-sprayed in a period correct gold finish at some point in its life. It has also had a previous headstock repair to the treble side, which is fairly visible but perfectly stable.
