Inspired by a rare, Cesar Diaz modified Echoplex EP-2, the EC-1 features two selectable tube-modeled preamp voices. Choose the classic EP-2 preamp for a bright, high-end shelf perfect for humbuckers, or opt for the warm, balanced response of the modded EP-2 preamp, ideal for adding heft to single-coils. Both preamps offer an optional +6dB boost or can be bypassed for a clean, unprocessed signal.

Powered by dTape technology, the EC-1 replicates every nuance of vintage tape echo, including motor fluctuations, capstan slippage, and tape condition. The Record Level toggle lets you dial in clean, slightly saturated, or heavily saturated repeats, while the Mechanics control adds organic wow, flutter, and stereo modulation for three-dimensional soundscapes.
