Roland Chorus Echo SRE-555

Introduced in the late 1970s, the Roland Chorus Echo SRE-555 is a sought-after rackmount tape echo and chorus unit, expanding on the classic RE-series with enhanced control and studio-ready flexibility. The SRE-555 is widely regarded as one of Roland’s most fully featured and best-sounding analog delay units.

The SRE-555 combines a true magnetic tape echo with a rich analog chorus, offering independent or combined operation. It features multiple selectable playback heads, variable repeat rate and intensity, and dedicated controls for echo level, chorus depth, and rate. Additional features include sound-on-sound capability, spring reverb, and balanced XLR as well as unbalanced ¼" inputs and outputs, making it suitable for both live and studio use.

Housed in a 2U rackmount chassis, the unit is solidly built and designed for professional applications. The front panel layout provides clear access to all parameters, while rear-panel connections allow for footswitch control and external triggering.

This example is in very good cosmetic condition for its age, showing only light signs of use. It has been fully serviced and tested by our technicians to ensure proper operation and reliability, and has been fitted with fresh tape.
