Guild Starfire I Bass - Pelham Blue

The Guild Starfire I Bass brings the iconic hollowbody bass design to modern players at an affordable price. Featuring a slim 2.4” body thickness, inward-shifted neck, and short 30¾” scale length, it offers a compact and accessible feel, ideal for younger players or those seeking more freedom on stage. The 1½” nut width enhances playability, making it easy to navigate across the fretboard.

Equipped with Guild’s BC-1 BiCoil pickups, the Starfire I Bass delivers a versatile range of tones—from modern, punchy bass tones to rich, vintage sounds. The pickups feature hum-resistant nickel covers and Alnico 5 magnets for clarity and warmth. The tone and volume controls allow for fine-tuning, while the push-pull vintage switch adds a classic presence by rolling down low frequencies, mimicking vintage hollowbody bass tones.

The bass is fitted with a Tune-o-matic bridge for stable tuning and easy adjustability, while the harp tailpiece adds a vintage touch, evoking the look of Guild’s upright basses.

The Westerly Collection pays homage to an important period in Guild’s early history, when Guild outgrew the beloved Hoboken, New Jersey factory, and moved production to Westerly, Rhode Island in 1967. Now manufactured in China, the Westerly Collection offers the same unmatched Guild craftsmanship at a super affordable price point.
