The Guild D-140 Cherry Burst is a performance-driven dreadnought with the rich tone, playability, and craftsmanship that have made Guild a trusted name for over 70 years. Featuring an all-solid wood construction, this guitar delivers full-bodied projection, balanced voicing, and the signature warmth of Guild acoustics.
The solid Sitka spruce top pairs with solid African mahogany back and sides to produce a bold, resonant tone with excellent clarity. Scalloped bracing enhances responsiveness, while the rosewood fingerboard and bridge add depth and sustain. The classic dreadnought shape ensures powerful volume, making it ideal for strumming, fingerpicking, and everything in between.
Finished in a striking Cherry Burst, this model stands out visually, complemented by Ivoroid binding, a mother-of-pearl rosette, and Guild’s Chesterfield headstock emblem—paying homage to iconic 1960s designs. Premium features include a bone nut and saddle for enhanced resonance, as well as Guild Vintage 18 open-gear tuners with an 18:1 ratio for precise tuning stability.
The Westerly Collection pays homage to an important period in Guild’s early history, when Guild outgrew the beloved Hoboken, New Jersey factory, and moved production to Westerly, Rhode Island in 1967. Now manufactured in China, the Westerly Collection offers the same unmatched Guild craftsmanship at a super affordable price point.
