Introducing the Sunn O))) Life Pedal Volume III – a collaboration between Sunn O))) and EarthQuaker Devices. The meticulously tweaked circuit of the V3 brings an enhanced analog octave section with a pronounced effect without compromising the bottom end. The addition of a third footswitch, powered by Flexi Switch Technology, allows for quick and radical tone shaping.

The Amplitude side faithfully reproduces the classic "White Face" distortion, with modifications in the clipping section for versatility. The V3 offers three clipping options, including no diodes for maximum Op Amp assault, asymmetrical silicon diodes and an LED for a compressed, smooth crunch, and the stock double silicon diode configuration for the classic tone.

The Octave in Life Pedal V3 is an all-discrete, analog full-wave rectifier that blends in octave effects smoothly, offering hands-free control via expression pedal or immediate footswitch activation for octave fuzz. The monophonic analog octave works best with single notes above the twelfth fret and transforms into a raging fuzz when engaged.

The Magnitude section is a MOSFET booster, adding high impedance and pushing amp tubes into saturation without adding distortion. The signal path goes Octave>Distortion>Boost, and both the octave distortion (Petrine Cross) and booster (Christian Cross) can be used independently with their respective footswitches.
