Introduced in 1960 as their top of the line bass guitar model to partner the new Jazzmaster six string, the Fender Jazz Bass has become a staple of studio and stage, with its dual pickup configuration and slimmer nut width making it both more comfortable and more versatile than other electric basses on the market.

This 1965 Fender Jazz bass is an incredible example, in all original condition and with years of play wear that add plenty of vintage mojo. The original 3 tone sunburst has worn nicely around the lower bout and has plenty of patina on the back and front of the body. The original pickups sounds snappy and punchy, and the original bridge cover and pickup cover are surprisingly still in place. The electronics are all original, and the unbound neck mark it as an early '65 model before the transition to binding and eventually block inlays. The tortoise guard is original and has a distinctive vibrant colour to it.

This guitar is in very good cosmetic condition and is internally and externally original. It also includes its original hard case.
