The Caroline Guitar Company Shigeharu IC Fuzz + Octave pedal combines a cascading hybrid of op-amp and BC184 transistor gain stages to deliver soaring sustain and massive gain with exceptional clarity, punch, and definition. Whether placed before or after buffers or wireless units, the Shigeharu ensures consistent, powerful performance throughout your signal chain.

This pedal also features a parallel octave-up fuzz, activated on demand with the Havoc stomp switch, adding extra grit and nastiness when needed. Inside the pedal, you’ll find additional controls - a bias/gate knob for dialing in broken, sputtering sounds, and a slide switch that locks the octave-up mode or converts the Havoc switch to a kill/mute function.

Designed in collaboration with John Snyder of Electronic Audio Experiments, the Shigeharu offers a fearsome range of tones with enhanced flexibility and control. Perfect for players seeking high-gain fuzz with added versatility, this pedal delivers raw power with precision.

Controls:

• DRIVE: controls the force from the IC gain stage to the transistor clipping networks.
• BODY: shapes the bass and midrange content available to the EQ section.
• TONE: tilts the overall voicing brighter or darker.
• LEVEL: sets the overall output of the effect.
• HAVOC: activates a parallel fuzz circuit with octave-up overtones. The volume of this fuzz relative to the main fuzz is set with the HAVOC LEVEL trimpot.
