The Benson Amps Florist Dynamic Modulator is the result of a collaboration between Chris Benson and Dave Jordan of Non-Human Audio. Building upon the concept of the Non-Human Audio Slow Loris modulated slap back pedal, the Florist offers a fresh, distinct experience rather than a mere update on the original design.
The Florist features a significantly faster delay range and an enhanced signal path for superior fidelity. The Florist incorporates a compressor-type detector circuit to control the delay speed and introduces a second delay channel with a different detector, enabling through-zero flanging and tri-chorus effects.
With independent volume controls for the dry and two wet signals (DRY, WET A, and WET B) and separate intensity controls (INTENSITY A and INTENSITY B) for each wet signal, you can blend and fine-tune your sound precisely. The addition of a latching footswitch called GHOSTS creates feedback right on the edge of oscillation in both delay lines, producing uniquely odd sounds.
The Florist delivers a wide range of effects, from conventional chorus and slapback to experimental textures like modulated reverb, unpredictable pitch warping, and swirling, touch responsive through-zero flanger type sounds.
