The 2018 Gibson Southern Jumbo continues the long-running tradition of Gibson’s slope-shouldered acoustics, offering a warm, balanced voice and the vintage-influenced styling that has defined the model since the 1940s. Built with a Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides, it delivers the familiar blend of focused mids, rounded lows, and clear trebles that make Southern Jumbos particularly versatile.
This model features a comfortable rounded neck profile, traditional X-bracing, and period-style appointments including multi-ply binding, split-parallelogram fingerboard inlays, and celluloid style pickguard. This guitar is also fitted with an LR Baggs VTC.
This guitar is in very good condition, with two repaired top cracks but otherwise no repairs or changes to speak of. This guitar also includes its original case.
This guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
