This 2011 Gibson Custom Shop ES-3399 is a fantastic example of a modern Gibson design, expertly crafted in the Custom Shop that incorporates vintage Les Paul feel with a more modern thinline body shape.
Constructed from a multi ply laminated Maple body with a Mahogany neck, this es-3399 is finished in a Cherry lacquer with a rosewood fingerboard dot fret markers. The extra '9' in ES-3399 marks this as a vintage style ES-339, with the Custom Shop combining the modern body shape with a '59 profile neck and other vintage style appointments such as aged body binding. The body is fitted with a pair of Gibson made Classic '57 humbuckers. The clean sound is warm and rich with plenty of dynamic response, while the smooth, lively sound when played driven tube amp gives an unmistakable blues rock tone that is incredibly versatile.
This guitar is in excellent condition with barely any signs of play wear to the body, and includes its original case. This guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
