First introduced in 1961, the Gibson SG has been a go to for players of all kinds for over half a century. This 2017 Gibson Custom Shop '64 Reissue SG Custom model is the pinnacle of a modern made SG, staying true to the original vintage look and feel earliest examples, with a Mahogany neck and body design that is incredibly lightweight and resonant. As with all Gibson made Custom models, the gold hardware, pearl block inlays and split parallelogram headstock inlay are present and correct. The body is finished in an Ebony lacquer, which was a limited run when initially released in 2017. The body is fitted with a set of 490R & 498T pickups that are voiced for a slightly hotter, more modern output.
This guitar is in very good condition with barely any cosmetic signs of use, and retains its original case. This guitar has benefitted from a service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
