This 2008 Gibson Custom Shop ES-345 is a great example of the incredible work produced by the Gibson Custom Shop, perfectly capturing the signature tone, playability and luxurious looks of original ES-345 models.
Constructed from a Maple body with Mahogany neck and Rosewood fingerboard, this ES-345 features a vibrant cherry finish that evokes the vintage look so associated with these guitars in the 1960's. The neck is a comfortable profile, with split parallelogram pearl fret markers and the traditional crest headstock inlay found on these deluxe models. As a top of the line guitar in the Gibson catalog, the ES-345 features all gold hardware, including double line Kluson tuners, and ABR-1 bridge and stop tailpiece. The body is fitted with a set of Classic '57 Gibson humbuckers, perfectly capturing the nuanced tone of a vintage Gibson pickup, and features factory stereo electronics with varitone rotary switching for a range of tonal options.
This guitar is in very good cosmetic condition, with minimal wear to the instrument on the body, and some light patina to the metal hardware. This guitar is internally and externally original, and includes a Gibson Custom Shop BB King case, which was for some reason shipped with this model in this year.
