The Gibson LPJ was introduced as the companies most affordable USA made guitar, and certainly offers a great deal of bang for your buck. Designed around the traditional Les Paul cornerstones of tone and playability, the LPJ features a mahogany body and set neck along with a maple top, with the typical warmth and richness from the mahogany and exceptional clarity and "snap" from the maple, this combination produces a tone with depth and complexity that no single-wood construction can match. The body is fitted with a 490R in the neck position which has an Alnico II magnet and standard-wound coils, and a 498T in the bridge position that uses overwound coils and an Alnico V magnet for more punch.
This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
