Gibson Custom Shop designed and manufactured in the Memphis factory, the Gibson ES-139 was manufactured for one year only, and bridges the gap between the classic Les Paul body shape and vintage hollowbody designs like the ES-135. The ES-139 is constructed from a laminate Maple body with a quarter sawn Maple neck and weight relieved centre block, making it an extremely lightweight alternative to a traditional Les Paul style guitar. The body is fitted with a set of Burstbucker Pro pickups, giving the signature vintage humbucker sound with a well balanced output across the frequency, with a beefy Gibson solid body tone that pairs with the lightweight hollowbody design to add resonance and character to the overall sound. The Maple neck features a Rosewood fingerboard with pearl trapezoid inlays, a comfortable 'C' neck profile and ABR1 bridge and stop tail hardware. This guitar also includes its original case.
This guitar is in very good condition, with some small marks to the finish and signs of play wear to the back and front of the body. This guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
