Introduced in 1955, the Gibson Les Paul Special is the epitome of the less is more design approach adopted by Gibson and Fender solid bodies in the mid '50s , with a tone and playability that makes them far more versatile than their simple design would have you believe. Featuring a slab Mahogany with the early '50s sharper edge design, this 2012 Gibson Les Paul Special is in good condition with some lacquer checking to the finish that adds to its vintage vibe.
The body is fitted with a set of P90 pickups which has a nice balanced sound, with a mellower neck and a bridge pickup that cuts much like its vintage counterparts. Other features include an adjustomatic bridge with stop tail piece, double line vintage style Kluson tuners and the original Gibson padded gig bag.
This guitar is in good all original condition, with some lacquer checking to the nitro finish on the front, back and sides of the body and the back of the neck and headstock. This guitar has benefitted from a service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
