This 2012 Fender 'FSR,' or Fender Special Run, Cabronita Telecaster is a great example of an affordable Fender guitar, putting a twist on a classic '50s style Telecaster with a set of Filtertron pickups for an emboldened tone.
Featuring an Alder body finished in a vintage inspired 2 tone sunburst, along with a single ply black pickguard, this guitar evokes the style of the early years of the Telecaster. The Maple neck features a large 'C' shaped profile, giving it a chunky vintage feel without the fullness of a typical early Telecaster neck. The body is fitted with a set of Gretsch style Filtertron humbuckers, with a powerful output and plenty of clarity that forgoes the traditional Tele for a beefier sound with great top end definition and plenty of dynamic range.
