Built by the Fender Custom Shop, this 2012 ’62 Jazzmaster Relic captures the look and feel of an early 1960s offset while benefiting from the precision and detail of Custom Shop construction. Finished in classic sunburst with an aged nitro lacquer treatment, it reflects the character of a well played vintage instrument.
The guitar features a two piece alder body paired with a maple neck shaped to a 1962 style profile, along with a AAA rosewood fingerboard. The board carries a 9.5 inch radius and medium jumbo 6150 frets, offering a slightly more modern playing feel while retaining the traditional Jazzmaster design.
Electronics include a pair of Custom Shop Jazzmaster flat magnet single coil pickups with the model’s familiar lead and rhythm circuit layout, delivering the warm and full tones associated with vintage examples. Hardware is period correct, with the original Fender Custom Shop bridge and a relic'd buzz stop.
Supplied with its original Fender Custom Shop hard case, and certificate, although no floor traveller.
This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
