A rather unique example of the fine work produced by Gibson Custom Shop, this 2011 R9 Les Paul VOS is a exceptionally crafted recreation of a 1959 'Burst,' featuring a rare 'Long Island Iced Tea' stained maple top. Constructed from a Mahogany body with traditional set Mahogany neck and dark Rosewood fingerboard, this guitar features a particularly nicely figured flamed maple top, only accentuated by its vibrant lacquer finish. The body is fitted with a set of Gibson Burstbucker P.A.F style humbuckers for authentically vintage Les Paul tone, and all other hardware is recreated with a huge amount of attention to detail to ensure it is accurate to vintage specs.
This guitar is in excellent condition, with barely any signs of play wear to speak of, and is internally and externally original. It includes its original Gibson black tolex case and Custom Shop certificate and hang tags.
This guitar has been given a full service & setup by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
