Introduced in 2007, the Fender VG Stratocaster was a short-lived collaboration between Fender and Roland, taking a flagship American Standard Stratocaster and pairing it with the the Roland VG digital modelling pickup. This example from 2008 is in excellent condition, with all the tone and playability of a classic Stratocaster, while incorporating a raft of extra tonal options in a discreet and easy to use way. This VG Stratocaster features an Alder body along with a traditional 'C' shaped Maple neck. The single coil pickups have all the typical chime and clarity of a Strat, while the VG pickup allows for digitally modelled Telecaster, Humbucker and Acoustic guitar tones straight from the control plate via a smaller control knob. A second small control can dial in preset tunings, allowing the player to quickly switch between baritone, 12 string, dropped D and open G without ever touching the tuning pegs. This guitar is in very good all original condition.
