The Martin D-28 has developed a rich history over the years, and is seen by many as a true workhorse acoustic flat top and arguably Martin's flagship Spruce & Rosewood guitar, having been used by countless musicians across folk and rock music. This 2005 Martin HD-28V is a modern recreation of those original Herringbone bound D-28 models, featuring a Sitka Spruce top with East Indian Rosewood back & sides. The top is braced with scalloped forward shifted X bracing, making it extremely resonant with a real dynamic range. The neck features the vintage style 'V' shaped profile, recreating the feel of the originals perfectly, with a neck shape that is slightly fuller but still extremely comfortable to play. This guitar is in very good condition, and shows minor signs of play wear. This guitar also has a Fishman Ellipse Matrix pickup system fitted.
As with all our instruments, this guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty. It also includes its original Martin case.
