First introduced in 1967, the second-generation Gibson Flying V revived the radical 1958 design and went on to become one of the company’s most recognisable electric guitars. Adopted by players across rock and metal, the ’67 version featured a more refined body shape with sharp lines, making it one of Gibson’s most enduring reissues.
This 2005 Gibson ’67 Reissue Flying V captures that classic design, constructed from a solid mahogany body with a set mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. The guitar is fitted with 496R/500T humbuckers wired through the traditional three-way switch and twin volume/tone control layout. Period correct hardware finishes this guitar off, including double line, single ring Kluson style tuners.
This guitar is in very good condition, with minor signs of play wear and swirl marks to the finish. It is internally and externally original, and includes its original hard case.
This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
