Before Fender introduced the Vintera series, the Ensenada-made Classic Series was the go-to choice for guitarists seeking an authentic, vintage-spec instrument without the Custom Shop price tag. This 2004 "Classic 60s" Stratocaster is a beautiful homage to the pre-CBS era, finished in the iconic and perennially cool Lake Placid Blue.

True to original 1960s specifications, this model is built around a resonant Alder body and features a multi-ply mint green pickguard with aged plastic pickup covers and knobs. It is equipped with a trio of vintage-style single-coil pickups that deliver the quintessential mid-60s Strat character—crisp, glassy highs, a scooped midrange, and a tight, woody low-end that sounds spectacular both clean and driven.

The neck is a highlight for vintage purists, carved to a comfortable early-60s "C" profile. It features a period-correct 7.25" radius Rosewood fingerboard and 21 vintage-style small frets, offering an authentic playing feel that is perfect for rhythm work and expressive chord embellishments. Complete with a vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge and Kluson-style machine heads, it nails the mid-60s aesthetic in every detail.

This 2004 model is in excellent condition for an instrument over twenty years old. It shows only minor surface swirling and small handling marks from honest use, while the frets remain in great shape. The only modification is that the instrument has been copper shielded under the pickguard.

This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 1 year warranty.
