This 2002 Martin Cowboy III is one of Martin’s most fun and distinctive limited-run models (only 750 made), part of their collectible “Cowboy” series featuring artwork by the late Robert Armstrong.
Built in the USA and designed with the same structural reliability as Martin’s other acoustic models of the era, the Cowboy III delivers easy playability, solid projection, and a visual style that sets it apart instantly.
The guitar uses Martin’s HPL (High Pressure Laminate) construction with a spruce-pattern top and Armstrong’s full-color artwork to finish. Despite the playful aesthetic, it’s a surprisingly capable acoustic: clear mids, tight bass, and an overall balanced voice that works well for strumming, songwriting, or casual home playing.
This guitar remains in great original condition and features a lovely Martin brown hardshell case.
