2001 Martin 00-18CTN Elizabeth Cotten Left Handed Sold Out Sold Out Created by Martin as a limited run of 76 guitars commemorating one of the most heralded blues and folk guitarists of the 20th century, this 2001 Martin 00-18CTN Elizabeth Cotten signature model is a fitting tribute to guitarist who has had such a great influence on acoustic guitar playing. Based on a pre war Martin 00-18, this guitar features a Sitka Spruce top with Mahogany back and sides with scalloped bracing for a punchy, resonant tone, even from the smaller 00 size body. Other features include an ebony bridge with period correct long saddle, and a set of Kluson tuners. The neck block is stamped with "Elizabeth Cotten - 1892-1987" and the interior label features the signature of both Elizabeth Cotten grandson and C.F Martin IV. This guitar is in excellent, all original condition, with no noticeable signs of wear to speak of. This guitar is number 64 of the 76 produced in the original limited run, and includes its original hard case. As with all our instruments, this guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
